Paper doesn't refuse ink
My father-in-law always says "Paper doesn't refuse ink", and he's right! Often, the carbon bikes written about in magazines actually weigh a lot more than claimed. If weight is important to you, and you are spending thousands to have a super light bike, don't trust a brochure, magazine ad or review article (usually opposite the $10,000 ad for the same bike). Take a scale with you and weigh the bike.

Sorry professional racers, some of our Outlaw bicycles have been banned by the UCI. It's considered an unfair advantage to race a bicycle this light! The Outlaw is the flagship model of our steel racing bikes. The cost and specifications for this bike are competitive with the big guys too! Even though our bicycle is hand made just for you, right here in Seattle and theirs are mass produced overseas. This year, we're also offering this model with a wide tire/fender option for those who would like that.
Nothin' Up Our Sleeve
The Outlaw uses no 'tricks' to get the bicycle weight down. Every component selected is un-modified and ready to ride. The published weights are
true and verified. The bicycles weighed were a medium size equivalent to a 54~55cm frame, and were weighed with (13.8) (and without (13.5)) Speedplay ti X1 pedals and a Serfas carbon bottle cage. The frame weight listed includes the bottom bracket shell, head tube and the dropouts (unlike many carbon manufacturers). There are no
proprietary components (forks or bottom brackets) that make the frame lighter, but add all the saved weight back when the bike is assembled for riding.
A sub-14 pound bike is not the bike for every rider. Your weight, height, component choices, and riding style all affect the end weight of your perfect 'light' bike. If weight is really important to you, let's talk about your needs, wants and price range. We'll come up with a weight that we can guarantee for you with those in mind.
